Samoa is one of three Pacific nations that have been granted visa-free travel to Israel.
This was confirmed at a meeting between Israel Ambassador to Samoa, Dr Itzhak Gerberg and Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi.
TV1 Samoa reported the ambassador saying that there has been an increase in Samoans visiting Israel and it was important to ensure easy access.
Israel has become a popular destination for Samoans in the last few years, especially among church groups .
Tuilaepa said it was important symbolically, as Samoa is a Christian country.
"As a God fearing nation, it is also most fitting that every opportunity is afforded to our people to visit Israel which is the birth place and the roots of Christianity."
The visa-free travel has also been extended to Tonga and Cook Islands.
