Australia has deported a Fijian man who served time in prison for repeatedly assaulting his partner.
AAP reported that Lemeki Navoto's visa was revoked in 2017.
At the time, he was serving a nine-month jail term for intentionally causing injury, making threats to kill and destroying property.
Navoto had been fighting to stay in Australia and said he couldn't be treated or medicated properly in Fiji for his depression and anxiety.
But this week, the Federal Court of Australia rejected his appeal.
It said he had language and work skills that would support his transition back to Fiji.
Navoto has been ordered to pay the federal government's court costs.
He arrived in Australia in 2000 and has three children with his partner.
