A third person has died following a fatal crash in Raetihi yesterday.
Two people died at the scene of the crash on State Highway 4, north of Whanganui, about midday on Monday.
Police said a person transported in critical condition to hospital died there several hours later.
There were three other fatal crashes on Waitangi Day: one person died in a crash in Carterton about 4.10pm on Monday, a motorcyclist was killed on State Highway 50 in a crash in central Hawke's Bay and a person died in a crash near Taumaranui on SH4 just before 11.30am.
