Solomons police appeal to public to find lawyer but give no reason

14:45 pm on 11 June 2009

Police in Solomon Islands say they urgently want to talk to lawyer Charles Wesley Levo.

Police personnel from the National Criminal Investigation Division executed search warrants at a number of addresses in Honiara yesterday, and have conducted a number of interviews of people as a result.

In a release, police say one of the premises was a legal firm but they failed to find Mr Levo.

It is not known why police are seeking him.

Subsequent police efforts to locate him have also been unsuccessful.

They have now asked for the public's assistance in locating Mr Levo's whereabouts.
