Joe Biden hints at closer relationship with NZ

Joe Biden is hinting at closer ties with New Zealand and the wider Asia-Pacific region when he takes charge in the White House.

The US president-elect gave separate interviews published in major newspapers today, revealing he doesn't plan to remove the trade tariffs imposed on China by the Trump administration.

Instead, his foreign policy approach will be to form close and coherent relations with traditional allies.
