England aggrieved at Duckworth-Lewis loss

The England cricket captain's called for a rethink on the often-controversial Duckworth-Lewis system, after losing a rain-affected match to the West Indies at the Twenty20 World Cup in Guyana.

England are now in a must-win situation despite making an impressive 191 for five in their 20 overs - and their captain Paul Collingwood feels hard done by after having only six overs to bowl at the hosts.

60 for two was all the Windies needed in the end to go through to the Super Eight stage.

But Chris Gayle agrees with his England counterpart that the calculation system isn't standing up to the demands of Twenty20.

Zimbabwe also lost to Sri Lanka by 14 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method and must now beat New Zealand overnight to stay alive - leading skipper Dan Vettori to warn his side the Africans are no easy beats.

Vettori thinks Zimbabwe's results, losing narrowly thanks to the Duckworth-Lewis calculations and their two wins over Australia and Pakistan in warm-up matches, shows what the underdogs are capable of.
