Northland Police have arrested a woman following an investigation into a "violent" home invasion in Kawakawa last week.
A 92-year-old woman was attacked by two people who then stole property from her address.
Detective Senior Sergeant Rhys Johnston described the 9 January attack as "violent".
"We've been contacted by several members of the mid-north community who have provided valuable information, and we want to thank those people for their assistance."
A 24-year-old woman would be charged with aggravated burglary and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, Mr Johnston said.
Further inquiries have led to the woman facing six additional burglary charges in relation to previous incidents.
The woman will appear in the Kaikohe District Court tomorrow.
Mr Johnston said police were "following strong lines" of inquiry in relation to the second offender.
