New Zealand will take on France in a hotly-anticipated showdown in Cardiff, the scene of the bitter defeat to the French in 2007 at the same stage.

The TAB said New Zealand is sitting at $1.16 compared to $4.75 for France.

Spokesman Mark Stafford said people adored Manuwatu's rising star Nehe Milner-Skudder, and he was a heavy favourite to score the first try.

He said the All Blacks are expected to win by at least 12 points.
