The band Six60 says it has postponed its Saturday night Wellington concert due to 'dangerously high wind gusts'.
Instead, the show will be played tomorrow Sunday 30 October at the same time.
"It's with our deepest regret to announce that our Wellington show cannot proceed today due to dangerously high wind gusts," the band said in a statement.
The weather was forecast to clear up tonight, the band said.
"Safety is our number one priority and this is not a call we have made lightly, and we can't wait to bring you all a world class show tomorrow night.
"All tickets will be valid for tomorrow, if you can't make it refunds will be available from Ticketek.
"We're absolutely gutted to postpone this show, we were so excited to start the tour in Wellington. All the crew, artists and staff have worked so hard to try make this go ahead, and to our fans, we understand that you've spent money, time and effort to be here and that makes us feel awful.
"All we can do is make it up to you tomorrow by putting on our best show possible, and giving you everything we've got."
