Police have revealed three stolen vehicles were used in a coordinated ram raid burglary at Ormiston Town Centre overnight.
In a statement, police said they understood the vehicles were used by "multiple offenders" who targeted three stores in the east Auckland centre.
Electronic goods and clothes were stolen in the ram raids at 1.10am.
Police said the operation endangered security and cleaning staff at the mall.
The offenders got away in two of the stolen vehicles.
Managers of the Town Centre said they were concerned about the increase in ram raids across Auckland and they were beefing up security at the centre.
They named one target as a Noel Leeming store, in a statement to RNZ.
Police said CCTV footage was being looked at and anyone with information is asked to contact them.
