A partially submerged boat in Gisborne's inner harbour is being monitored for any diesel leaks.
The Gisborne District Council said the boat, the Bizniz, has up to 600 litres of diesel on board, but there is no visible sign of leaks from its tanks.
Booms are being deployed to contain the area, and the boat will be monitored overnight.
The council says it is not known how it became partially submerged.
