At the fully live Big Horns concert on 12 October, Che and fellow singers Boh Runga, Ria Hall and Kings will get people dancing with '90s and '00s bangers by 50 Cent, Dr Dre, Eminem, Tupac, Mary J Blige, Warren G and more.
Che Fu joins a DJ, a guitarist and five horn players in the RNZ studio to give us a taste of Big Horns.
Che Fu performs live with big band: 'I'm really happy to hear my songs in this way'
DLT and Che Fu's mega-hit 'Chains' will be the only Kiwi song played at the upcoming Big Horns show, says guitarist Dixon Nacey, who is also the show's music director.
Covers of classics by the likes of 50 Cent, Dr Dre, Eminem, Tupac, Mary J Blige and Warren G will otherwise pack out the setlist.
Although Che Fu had never considered performing with a big band before this, he tells Charlotte Ryan he's having a "whole heap of fun" with Big Horns.
"I'm really happy to hear my songs in this way… Absolutely excited. Yeah, amping right here ... It's going to be cake. It's going to be an amazing night."
