Stuff has reported a National Party staffer came back after working for the Defence Force at an isolation facility, despite being asked to stay away until they had the all-clear from health officials.

Parliamentary Service said the person "undertook all appropriate actions" and sought permission before returning to work on the precinct.

It said that permission was given after receiving Health Ministry advice they could return.

However that has now now been reviewed and it has been decided they will not return this week.

Parliamentary Service is also introducing stricter Covid requirements for visitors who, from tomorrow, will have to sign in manually or via the app when they arrive.
