An elderly man has died after being struck by a car while on a mobility scooter earlier this week in Canterbury.
Don McCabe, 85, suffered serious injuries when a vehicle hit him on Harris Street in Waimate on 16 January.
McCabe was taken to Timaru Hospital, but police confirmed today he died on 17 January.
Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision.
