Auckland MMA fighter Dan Hooker will make his return to the octagon next month.
Hooker will be one half of the co-main event, a five round lightweight bout against number 12 ranked American Bobby Green in Austin, Texas.
Dan 'the Hangman' Hooker sits ninth in the UFC lightweight rankings and is coming off the back of a TKO win over Claudio Puelles and then a hard-fought split decision over Jalin Turner in July in which he fought through a broken bone in his arm.
Green is coming off two massive wins in his long career, finishing Tony Ferguson and Grant Dawson in July and October, respectively.
UFC president Dana White made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter).
"Dan is that anywhere anytime type fighter, 18 of his 23 wins are by finish. He's well rounded but known for his aggressive striking style," White said.
"Bobby is on fire coming off a 30 second knockout only a month ago. He was the main event. Green will meet him in the middle with his hands down moving forward, daring Hooker to go toe to toe like he always does."
