Relatives of some of those who died in New Zealand's worst fire are today marking the rebuilding of a memorial to the disaster.
Forty-one people died in the Ballantynes department store fire in Christchurch on 18 November 1947.
A memorial at the Ruru Lawn Cemetery was damaged during the February 2011 earthquake but has been rebuilt.
The project was funded by a Lotteries grant and donations from the Ballantynes family, as well as the family of one of those who died.
