The Phoenix football coach Ricki Herbert says they and their fans will have to accept that in the short term the aquistition of a player isn't going to make a huge difference to the side.
The Phoenix have lost 3-in-a-row in the A-League and on Sunday take on the high flying Brisbane Roar.
The Wellington side still has a number of injury concerns but Herbert says there isn't a player available to them that can make a difference.
In the long term Herbert says an academy side would be a great help to the club....
