Police have tonight launched a homicide inquiry after a fatal fight in Porirua.

Officers were called to an address at Parumoana Street at about 5.30pm and found a man with serious injuries.
Despite medical attention he later died at the scene.
An investigation was begun, with police trying to find out what led to the man's death.
