The Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix has been cancelled after a McLaren Racing Team has tested positive for coronavirus.
In a statement, Formula 1 and FIA confirmed the event, which was due to take place in Melbourne this weekend, was cancelled.
"We appreciate this is very disappointing news for the thousands of fans due to attend the race and all ticket holders will receive a full refund and a further announcement will be communicated in due course," the statement said.
A member of the McLaren Racing team has tested positive for the coronavirus, which lead to the team withdrawing from the event.
Formula 1 and FIA then met with the nine other team principals where a majority view was reached to cancel the event.
