Police located 27-year-old Te Wera Hemara in Shannon, a town in Manawatū, at around 2.30pm today.

He is to appear in the Palmerston North District Court tomorrow.

Earlier last week Emmanuel Witana and Wiremu Eparaima were arrested by police.

The trio escaped from custody in Levin as they were being led to prison transport.

Only two police officers were with four men at the time, the fourth man held a police officer back, while the other three escaped.

They later admitted having two officers with the four was not best practice.
