Interviews and live sets from the New Zealand music underground. This week, we catch Auckland band PCP Eagles.
Auckland five-piece punk band, PCP Eagles, have a reputation for playing shows that live up to their substance referencing name, producing symptoms ranging from loss of ego boundaries to paranoia, hallucinations and euphoria in their audience.
This is chant-along three-chord punk in the best tradition of “The Ramones meets the Angry Samoans”. A snarling rebuke of the modern world played out in frenetic pop-punk songs laced with humour and angel dust.
