The police in Christchurch are seeking witnesses to an incident in which a man suffered a significant head injury at a pub in Bromley last month.
They say the victim was playing pool at the Glenbyre Tavern at about 10pm on Friday 16 October.
As he left the bar, they say he was punched; he sustaining the head injury when he fell to the ground,
The offender is described as Maori, in his twenties and of slim build, wearing blue sleeveless overalls with possible patches of white paint or concrete on them.
