The All Black halfback Jimmy Cowan is likely to play in this year's National Provincial Rugby Championship before joining the English club Gloucester.
Cowan's played 94 matches for his Southland province and he's expressed a desire to clock up 100 games for the Stags.
He's confirmed he's signed a two-year contract with Gloucester, and from what he's heard about the club he'll feel right at home there.
