There's a reshuffle in the mayor of Auckland's office, with the second departure of a chief-of-staff in 17 months.
Taha MacPherson will return to a role at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and be replaced by Phil Goff's current political advisor Nirupa George.
Mr MacPherson had served as a bridge-builder between the mayor's office and the council organisation after relationships became strained early in this term.
The mayor's new political advisor will be Claire Rorke, who's presently the chief press secretary for the Green Party.
Mr Goff's first chief-of-staff Fran Mold left after five months for a role with the United Nations in South Sudan.
