The Hawke's Bay expressway, State Highway 2, is closed following a crash that has left one person with serious injuries.
Police were called to the crash at the Ngaruroro River Bridge about 2.20pm.
"One person is in a serious condition and is receiving medical treatment," they said.
The Expressway is closed and diversions are in place at its intersections with Links Road and Evenden Road.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
