Three climbers have been rescued after falling onto rocks near Stewart's Glacier in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park.
The men, aged in their 50s, activated their personal locator beacon yesterday morning after falling up to 15 metres on Tuesday afternoon.
They were only able to be rescued by helicopter yesterday afternoon due to heavy cloud cover and the nature of the terrain.
Rescue staff walked in to retrieve the group on foot and lowered the group to a safer position so the helicopter could pull them to safety.
One of the men had a laceration to his leg and another had mild hypothermia.
