Police say a sudden death in Christchurch is being treated as unexplained.
Detective Senior Sergeant Colin Baillie said the death at a residential address in Hei Hei was reported around 12.30pm today.
The property on Gilberthorpes Road remains cordoned off while forensic teams conduct a scene examination.
Baillie said it was expected the cordons would remain in place overnight.
