United States officials are returning to Australia's refugee detention centre on Nauru to continue vetting detainees for possible resettlement in America.
More than one thousand refugees on Nauru are thought to be eligible.
Last week protests erupted near the entrance of the centre where a bus was reportedly set on fire.
After four years of detention the refugees on the island are growing increasingly frustrated at delays with the US plan, more than 10 months after the deal was first announced by Canberra.
