Convicted murderer and rapist Liam Reid is asking the court to stop TVNZ broadcasting a show about him.
Reid told the High Court in Auckland today a programme online that featured him contained inaccuracies which impinged on his right to a fair trial.
Reid is serving a 23-year sentence for killing Christchurch woman Emma Agnew in 2007 and for raping and attempting to murder a university student in Dunedin nine days later.
He is seeking to take the case to the Court of Appeal.
Appearing in court by audio visual link from a prison room, Reid said prison staff were recently able to download the programme, but he had not been able to find out when it would be broadcast.
Justice Whata adjourned the case because it was unclear whether TVNZ had been notified.
