The 20-year-old suffered an ankle injury in last weekend's win over the Tactix, limping off the court in the fourth quarter after contesting the ball and falling to the floor.

Nweke didn't feature in the Mystics one-goal loss to the Magic on Monday night and has had scans on the injury.

On Thursday, a Mystics spokesperson confirmed the star shooter would also not play in their matches against the Tactix on Saturday and Stars on Sunday.

A return to play programme was being worked on for Nweke, and the franchise expected to provide a further update early next week.

Williamson is the skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are eighth in the standings.

They must win their final league match against Punjab Kings on Sunday and have other results go their way to make the playoffs.

"Our skipper Kane Williamson is flying back to New Zealand, to usher in the latest addition to his family," Hyderabad said on Twitter.

"Here's everyone at the Riser camp wishing Kane Williamson and his wife a safe delivery and a lot of happiness."

Williamson has endured a tough time with the bat in the IPL and vacated the opener's slot to bat at number six in Tuesday's victory against Mumbai Indians.

Hyderabad are yet to announce who will lead the side in absence of the New Zealand captain.

The 31-year-old has battled back from a long-standing elbow problem and is set to make his test return next month in a three-match series in England.

England recall Anderson, Broad for first two NZ tests

Veteran seamers James Anderson and Stuart Broad have returned to the England test squad for the first two tests against New Zealand next month.

The three-match home series will mark the beginning of Ben Stokes' tenure as England's test captain and will be the first assignment of their newly-appointed red-ball coach and former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum.

Anderson and Broad, first and second on England's all-time list of test wicket takers with 1,177 between them, were omitted from the three-match series in West Indies where the team lost 1-0 and eventually led to Joe Root's resignation as the captain.

Anderson said the snub prompted him to consider retirement.

Yorkshire batsman Harry Brook and Durham seamer Matthew Potts received maiden call-ups as part of the 13-man squad.

Lord's hosts the first test from June 2, followed by matches at Trent Bridge and Headingley.

England have won only one of their last 17 tests while New Zealand are the reigning world Test champions.

U.S. men's and women's teams strike equal pay deal with governing body

U.S soccer men's and women's national team players will receive equal pay and prize money, including at World Cups, after they came together to agree on landmark collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) with the U.S Soccer Federation.

For official competitions, including the World Cup, the women's (USWNT) and men's (USMNT) national team players will earn identical game appearance fees.

For official competitions other than the World Cup, players of both genders will earn identical game bonuses.

U.S. Soccer becomes the first federation in the world to equalise FIFA World Cup prize money awarded to both women's and men's teams for participation in their respective World Cups.

Under the new agreement, the USMNT and USWNT will have identical performance-based bonuses for all games and competitions.

The women's team will no longer receive guaranteed salaries and have the same pay-to-play payments as their male counterparts.

In another first for U.S. Soccer and the players' unions, U.S. Soccer will share a portion of its broadcast, partner and sponsorship revenue with a 50-50 split of that share divided equally between USWNT and USMNT.

Australian pop singer Simpson qualifies for Commonwealth Games

Australian pop singer-turned-swimmer Cody Simpson qualified for this year's Commonwealth Games after finishing third in the 100 metres butterfly final at the national trials in Adelaide.

Simpson, 25, turned heads earlier on Wednesday when he upstaged Olympic freestyle gold medallist Kyle Chalmers and won his heat in a personal best time of 51.79 seconds behind defending champion Matt Temple (51.64).

Temple clocked 51.50 in the final while Chalmers, who won 100m freestyle gold in Rio and silver in Tokyo, also improved to 51.67.

Simpson's 51.96 matched governing body FINA's A qualifying time for next month's world championships in Budapest.

The top three in the final under the A time qualify for the July 28-Aug. 8 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

Simpson, a talented junior swimmer before pursuing a music career in his teens, finished eighth in the 100 butterfly final at Australia's Olympic trials last year to fall short of a place in the Tokyo team.
