A boy was killed by a car leaving a property near Taupo on Monday night.
The incident happened at 8.55pm in Hatepe village.
Police said it appeared a woman was leaving a property down a shared driveway when the car struck the boy. Attempts to revive him at the scene were unsuccessful.
