The latest candidate for American Samoa's Governorship, Utu Abe Malae, says management and leadership experience are some of the assets that qualify him for the job.

Utu, the outgoing president of the Development Bank of American Samoa, who makes his official declaration later today, has selected former House Speaker Nua

Mailo Saoluaga of Manu'a to be his running mate.

He says Nua has the necessary legislative experience to complement his management experience.

If elected, Utu said he plans to address healthcare and education, which he says are the top two issues that American Samoa faces today.
