A man is fighting for his life in Samoa's main hospital after his wife allegedly poured boiling water on his upper torso while he was sleeping.
The Samoa Observer reported the father of three was admitted to Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital's Intensive Care Unit where he remains under observation.
Police are refusing to give details of the incident but the newspaper reported the incident happened at Vaiusu village on the outskirts of the capital Apia.
The police said charges will be laid shortly.
