The Fiji rugby union has announced an operating surplus of 349,000 dollars, a similar surplus to 2005.
The profit was based on a 92 per cent increase in sponsorship, which tallied over three million, 300 thousand dollars and a 76 per cent increase in IRB grants, totaling over one million dollars.
Income rose 43 per cent to a record five million, one hundred and 68 -thousand dollars.
But expenditure hit over four million 900 thousand dollars.
Fiji rugby has had a busy year with its fielding 10 national teams from the President's Under 17 XV to the national women's side.
Nine of the ten teams toured overseas.
