No charges will be laid after a crash south of Picton, which killed seven members of a family, police say.
The group was returning to the North Island from a funeral in Southland in June, when their van collided head-on with a truck on State Highway 1.
Seven family members were killed and two were injured.
Marlborough Area Commander Inspector Simon Feltham said a thorough investigation had been completed and police were satisfied no charges should be laid. Police said at the time of the crash it appeared the van had crossed the centre line.
The matter has been referred to the coroner.
"I would like to thank the investigation team who have worked with utmost professionalism and respect to understand this huge loss of life," Feltham said.
