A bus driver has died after a crash in Lower Hutt, and police are appealing for witnesses.
A car and the bus collided on Molesworth Street in the suburb of Taitā, and the crash was reported about 4.45pm on Friday, police said.
The driver of the car did not report any injuries, but the driver of the bus later died in hospital.
"We are asking anyone who may have seen the incident or who was a passenger on the bus to please get in touch," the statement said.
Police would also like any dashcam or CCTV footage.
