A New Zealander sentenced to 15 years in an Indonesian prison after being caught with 1.7kg of crystal methamphetamine will not appeal his sentence.
Anthony de Malmanche was found guilty and sentenced on 30 June on drugs charges.
His lawyer, Chris Tuck, has confirmed that at this stage his client has decided not to appeal.
De Malmanche's defence team had argued during the trial that he did not know the methamphetamine was in his backpack when he flew to Bali from Hong Kong on 1 December 2015.
The judges could have imposed a maximum sentence of death and prosecutors had recommended 18 years in prison.
