The former world champion Ben Fouhy has finished second in the K1 1000 at the National and Oceania Canoe Sprint Championships near Rotorua.
Fouhy finished behind Australian rival Kenny Wallace.
The regatta is at Lake Tikitapu, also known as Blue Lake.
