The Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic are confident of still having the homecourt advantage when they take on the Southern Steel in the elimination semi-final of the trans-Tasman netball competition next Monday.
The Magic's ussual home courts in Hamilton and Rotorua are both booked out this weekend so it has been decided that the semi-final will be played at Auckland's Vector Arena.
After sell-out seasons, the Magic haven't attracted the same sort of crowd this year, but acting CEO Sheryl Dawson says they're hopeful of a big home crowd after organising buses from Hamilton, Rotorua and Tauranga....
Dawson says they won't miss out financially because the play-off matches are owned by the competitions company.
Which ever team wins this match will play their next game in Australia, while the loser is eliminated.
