New Zealand Cricket has confirmed that three former New Zealand players are under investigation for match fixing.

Today's New Zealand Herald says an International Cricket Council unit has been in the country, investigating claims of match fixing by New Zealanders competing overseas, and also spot fixing where punters bet on specifics such as runs scored.

On a day when his test team has the upper hand on the West Indies, the New Zealand Cricket CEO David White says in a statement that NZC is aware that the ICC is investigating a small number of former New Zealand players.

World cricket has been beset by a series of fixing scandals, and the freelance correspondent Mihir Bose spoke to Morning Report.
