Bringing forward Auckland's City Rail Link, using public private partnerships and lowering rates are some of the Auckland Mayor’s top priorities this year.
Mr Brown says he has six areas he wants to focus on in 2014. The other priorities are creating more affordable housing, encouraging engagement in council activities and boosting the city's economy.
Mr Brown says he wants to limit the amount that rates can rise by to 2.5% this year to keep rates affordable.
