The Green Party has selected Rebekah Jaung as its candidate for the upcoming Northcote by-election.

The seat fell vacant with the resignation in March of the National MP, Jonathan Coleman, who had held it since 2005.
Dr Jaung contested the seat for the Greens at last year's general election, and came third in the voting, well behind Dr Coleman and Labour's Shanan Halbert, who is standing again.
Dan Bidois is National's candidate this time, and Stephen Berry represents Act.
Dr Jaung currently works as a public health doctor and is a research fellow at Auckland University's surgery department.
