Air Niugini's domestic flights have resumed in Port Moresby's airport today.
The airline's planning manager, David Glover, says they managed to get enough fuel from other domestic airports into the capital's Jackson International Airport last night.
He says up to two thirds of their domestic flights will be operating.
And Mr Glover says they expect Shell's quality testing of the latest shipment of aviation fuel that arrived on Tuesday, to be completed soon.
"So, we're running about 30 flights today and then for tomorrow, we expect the new fuel which arrived here by ship yesterday to be available for use either late today or early tomorrow and are hoping to get back to a full schedule tomorrow."
David Glover says Air Niugini normally has up to 60 domestic flights a day.
