The American golfer Phil Mickelson dispelled any lingering doubts about his health ahead of next week's Masters when he carded an impressive four-under-par 68 in the opening round of the Houston Open.
Mickelson, a perennial contender at Augusta National, pulled out of the last week's Texas Open during the third round with a pulled abdominal muscle.
The three-times Masters champion is tied for 18th, 3 shots off the lead held by fellow American Bill Haas.
