Have you heard of Rob Ford yet? You might not have heard of him before this week. He's the mayor of Toronto, Canada.
He's also the guy who admitted to having had smoked crack, while in a drunken stupor. Yep. That's the mayor of Canada's biggest city.
Not long after that admission, a video was released showing him ranting and swearing, in what the CBC describes as a bizarre video. He has admitted to being "extremely extremely inebriated".
There are calls for him to resign, but David MacFarlane, writing for the New Yorker, says he has refused to stand down.
Nobody knows what to do with a mayor who will not resign, even though he has ticked most of the boxes in the “You should resign immediately if…” section of the customary understanding between elected officials and their electorates.
