The Chief Censor supports the decision by a cyber-security firm to drop the online message board 8Chan in the wake of Sunday's mass shooting in Texas.

The security firm Cloudflare cancelled their relationship with 8-chan after the man suspected of the shooting posted a white supremacist manifesto on the forum before the attack.
Chief Censor David Shanks says he welcomes Cloudflare's decision to cut ties with the site.
But, as he told RNZ Christchurch reporter Nicholas Pointon, he doubts this spells the end for the messaging board.
