Wellington punk-rock trio Hollywoodfun Downstairs recently released their second LP, Reactions. Recorded in Wellington and mastered in New York by famed studio wizard Alan Douches, the band's blistering sound has been compared to Fugazi and At the Drive In.

Music 101 contributor Craig Hayes caught up with guitarist/vocalist Kurt Williams, and new drummer Joe Wright to find out about their all-important New York connection and to uncover the origins of the trio's name.
