The Tamaki Redevelopment Company has reassured MPs it will be ready to take on thousands of social housing properties by the end of March.
In April last year, the government confirmed it would transfer the ownership and management of 2800 Housing New Zealand homes in Auckland.
The company appeared today in front of the Local Government and Environment Committee for its annual review.
Chief executive John Holyoake said they had working closely with the local community.
Seven Housing New Zealand staff who know the people and the area well had joined the company and would help with continuity for tenants.
