Mosque attack survivor 'proud' to represent NZ at White House

A Christchurch mosque attack survivor says he is grateful to Donald Trump for bringing him to Washington to speak about religious freedoms.

Farid Ahmed, whose wife Husna was killed in the March 15 shootings, joined a group of survivors of religious persecution from around the world to meet the president and secretary of state Mike Pompeo, last week in Washington.

He spoke to RNZ reporter Eleisha Foon.
