Dunedin's Keg Party goes off without major incident

18:17 pm on 13 April 2013

St John Ambulance says this year's annual student Hyde Street Keg Party has gone well, with no major injuries reported.

The event involves parties at all student flats on the street in Dunedin.

Nine people have been arrested for trespassing or disorderly behaviour.

Fifteen people were arrested at last year's party and dozens more had to be treated by ambulance staff.

This year organisers introduced strict new rules in a bid to prove the party can go ahead safely.

The party finished at 6pm on Saturday.
